We want you and your pet to be completely satisfied with every purchase. If something isn't right, we're here to make it right.
30-Day Return Window
You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return: perishable goods (food, treats, supplements), personalized or custom items, digital downloads, and items marked as final sale.
How to Start a Return
Email us at support@theamericanpet.com with your order number and reason for return. We'll send you a prepaid return label within 1–2 business days.
Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund within 3–5 business days. Refunds are issued to your original payment method. You'll receive a confirmation email when the refund is issued.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your item arrived damaged or we shipped the wrong product, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We'll send a replacement or issue a full refund — no need to return the item.
Exchanges
Need a different size or variant? We'll exchange eligible items at no extra shipping cost. Contact us to arrange your exchange before shipping anything back.
